Making the blogs up

As this as my class blog, I would like to say that this activity was very interesting for me. I have learned so many things such as how to come up with very good ideas in very short time. The differences between writing down the blogs and doing through the computer were minimum. The main difference is that with the class blog you can share it with your classmates in a didactical way, while if you turn in it in paper it can't be possible.
Definitely, writing blogs is one of the activities that I am going to do very often. When you start writing out whatever thing comes to your mind, you can noticed that your brain contains many useful information that can be used at the time your essays; moreover, this is a very good way to make wide your vocabulary and overall to improve your spelling and grammar issues.

Last Blog

Last blog for this semester means this semester will be ending soon. it is exciting to finish it, but it is so sad not to write the blog anymore. Personally, I like doing it because it is a good way to increase my writing skills and I can learn some technology with it. Also, I can learn see the other students commons, or their blogs from the bloger. In addition, in this class I have learned lot of things which I have never learned it before. Such as the blog which I have never used it before this class started. Now, I enjoy and have fun to use a picture to write my journal or class blog and the great thing is I can put any picture I like for them. Therefore, writing a blog is enjoyable and it is one of the useful ways for students to do their assignment and to increase their writing skills better.

Dear Last Blog

It is very sad that this is my last Blog for this class. This is my first time I used blog in this class. I didn’t know anything about the blog before I started this class. So I think this is a great way to write journals. I enjoyed writing it and it improved my typing skill as well. I also like putting pictures and writing about it. It is the best way to write journals and it makes writing more enjoyable.
In my last class, I wrote many journals by hand and it was not fun because there were no pictures to write about and just a notebook and my pen. With hand written journals you need to read beginning to end to know the story. However, with a blog, the picture half of the time tells you the story or you can even predict about the story. Pictures make readers to read more pleasantly.
In this class I have my personal blog and class blog to write journals. I also like what I wrote in my blog. It is going to be my memory like my personal diary and I can show it to anybody and anytime.

Farewell~

Everything has it's ending, and this class will not be an exception. This is the fourth week from the end, and this blog will be the final blog. In fact, I am not a type of person who would write journals or blog once a week or once a month. So, this blogging did not bring any pleasurable time. However, compare to the handwritten or type and turn in journals, I like blogging better because I don't have to worry about any printing problems like out of ink, out of paper, or the printer broke down suddenly. This blogging is so easy to use, and it has almost everything that Microsoft word has. I meant the really common funtions that we need for journals entries. Evern though I hate writing journals or blogs, this types of activities really helped me a lot in my writing. This helped me to practice my writing speed and critical thinking skill. So, everytime when I write my essay, I spend less time to plan and organize my essay and have more time for checking grammar errors and any other mistakes. I don't know if I improved or not, and I think Denise is the person who knows everything in our writing, both strength and weakness, and improvement, am I right? :-) I hope to have all of you guys in class for the next semester, not ESL class, of course. For Denise, I hope to see you around in school, but definitely not in your ESL classes. Well, I hope so. Farewell, buddies!!

Done!!

Time really goes fast. I can't beileve that I did the assignments that I got every classes. I am so proud of myself. Whatever result's are waiting for me in the future after exit exam, I was glad to be in this class. So far, when I tried to collect all of my essay and journals, it's even hard to count how many papers I have. I did a lot. It is really helpful to improve my writing and about myself as well. I felt a little bit confused sometimes because most of my essay and journals were typed. I used to write by hand. It happend that while I was writing by typing, I forgot what next what I was going to type, but it was getting better. Actually, I am still struggling with think about typing and next story what I am going to write about. Anyway, I liked to do my blog with pictures. I liked it a lot. Some class mates posted art works up to blog. I enjoyed the time I was doing my blog and read others. Even though I struggled with many different kinds of homework like others, I beileve that I've improved since I was in this course. I love it. ^^

Class blog

I think I am not a good blog writer whichever in English or Chinese. I have ever had a personal blog that was written in Chinese. What on that blog are just some pictures that I want to share with my families and friends. Writing a blog in English is my first time to treat a blog so seriously. Writing short essays for the blog makes me open my mind and review my life. I found so many funny things from the past, and I can share those funny things with others through the blog. It is really a meaningful thing to keep going.

I know my English writing has to be improved on and on. I still have some problems such as limited vocabulary, grammar errors and etc. Thank Denise for encouraging me continually and thank all my classmates for their patient on my poor expression when reading my blog. I think I will keep working on my personal blog even this class is end.

The Last Samurai.

Oh, I got a mistake...It means the last blog. Well, actually I used to make some blogs and homepages...but this blog is the longest one that I have ever had. It was good, I like it. Through this experience, I improved typing and writing blog effectively. The thing is I have to write more than the hand writing. For me, hand writing is slower than typing. That is good, but in hand writing, my writing is usually swelling its quantity. In typing, everybody’s quantity of writing is decided. Anyway the only thing I am sure is that I wrote journals more than hand writing. It means I practice a lot and made my writing improve!

Last blog

Last online journal! this semester is almost done. I like posting my journals online because it was easier than printing them out in the morning, since my printer was out of ink, and i was too lazy to buy a new one, i had to get up early in the morning and print my journals. Posting online made things easier for me, and i enjoyed it. Since im always in the computer, all i had to do was to sign in on the blog, write my journal , post it, and thats it. Writing by hand was more complicated for me, i like typing way better.

Including images along with the writing was alot better than reading a white typed paper, the pictures also made the journals look more neat and nice. Pictures helped me as an inspiration too, they say a picture worth a thousand word, and that true. The image i chose for this last blog has nothing to do with the topic, but i found it and i thought its was really cute.

Last blog

Our last blog, sounds cool, and i think this time i'll write only in a few words. Did i enjoy it? Truly, yes i have enjoyed writing on the blog, it gave me an opportunity to share with others my real stories about the specific topics. I have had from time to time difficulties with uploading the photos, but it could be related with my internet server. I think it was a good idea to join that kind of the blog, it had shown to everyone how we did our writing. Last Blog

I enjoyed writing both personal and class blogs eventhough I am not good in computers and typing. Writing on the blogger helped me to think about my writing and grammar as well. It has also helped to expand my ideas without doing much brain storming. As I said I am not on good in typing and I prefer to write with my hand and turn in my assingments to my teachers. However, writing on the blogger forced me to practice my typing. In fact, I made some progress. In addition, I love to see Denise's comments and corrections on my paper. It also gives you an opportunity to see and read your classmates opinions and ideas and give your feedback. Besides posting pictures on the blogger helps you to be more specific about what you are writing. In my opinion it is very helpful to continue writing on the blogger. I know for sure the more I write the better I will become on my writing and typing as well.

LAST BLOG BY LOONEY TUNES!!

I am a little sad because unfortunate this is my last blog and class. I also think that having Denise as a teacher is great because she really cares about her students and tries to help them or us at any time. I will probably miss that because their is a few teachers that enjoys teaching. The blog help me to care a little more about my writing and also by seeing some examples of my classmates. i think that my writing is a lot better and i know that i still commit a lot of other mistakes because sometimes i am not paying attention at what I'm doing but i will make an effort to improve my writing. I think that as a whole class we did a great job working together and i think that Denise is happy of having us in her class. Well, i think that i will keep hand writing on my own for practice and i think that sometimes that helps because you can also take out all your frustrations, struggles, anger, love (maybe), stress and disappointments, etc.

Come-Blog

I don’t know how to use the blogger before my cousin sent her daughter’s blog to me. I thought it was very interesting because every picture had a description and several photos and writings combine to an interesting story. I often went to her blog to look at her growing at that time. Now I like the personal blog when I know how to use it. When I would post pictures, writing or anything in my blog, my friends should know my life, my feeling, my favorite and my journal. Everybody has different experience, so blog let us know other people’s feeling and experience. If we write the journal by hand and hand out, we don’t know other classmates’ experience. For example, when we post a textbook journal, we know classmate study if it is easy or hard and I should take this class. When we write and post journals and pictures in our blog, we could improve some writing skill. I think I like blog because I would know something that I don’t know.

Last blog

I feel kind of sad that the class is almost over, last blog, last essay, last, last. I didn’t use blog before the class, so I hadn’t known how it is the write my reflections in the Internet. I still prefer handwriting journals. I wrote only few journals by hand by I think they were the best; I was laing in my bad, and just writing without stopping. I liked to write it on the computer and hand in, because I liked to see comments by Denise, smiley faces, and so on. What I liked about blog was that I could see different opinions, and points of view people from class. Everybody has personal experience, so everybody’s blog was different. I liked that we could attach photos to our blog, because it made it more interesting, easier to look at it, that just plain text, and explain visually what we were talking about.

I think that journals were very helpful, it was a good idea. By now, we have written more then 20 pages, beside our essays. I don’t know how much grammar mistakes I made in it, but it helped just write without thinking how to tell this or explain that. “Would you like more (journals) or less?” Less! Less homework!! NO, joking :) The amount of journals was right, not too much, but not only one a week to not even feel that we are in reading/writing class.
About improvement Denise should know the best. We can say that our writing improved, but still have bunch of mistakes.

This is the first time I creat a new blogger. Before I hear my friend siad that they also have a blog. In my opinion, I think blog just like a diary book. We can use it to write what happen for that day , but this blog has a little different from the personal blog. personal blog that we can write something personal, we don't want somebody know. I am very interested to write something in the blog. Before we write a jounal byhand, when we use the blog instead hand wirte, I like to use the blog write a jounal now. when we use blog we can add a picture on there, but hand write we can't. The picture can explain the main idea of that jounal.
I think I like to use blog more and more because it can help me know a lot. Before I didn't know how to use it , but I can use very well now. when I use blog, my writing is improve a lot becuase when we write on the blog, we need to add a pictutre on there. The picture can give me a lot of inspiration, I can use the picture to write a longer essay. I would like to use blog, and I will recommend everyone use it.

EASY LEARNING!!

I think to have a great learning we need to have a creative atmosphere at the place that you pass most of your time which is the classroom at school. Sometimes is good to have different choices like a great technology to be able to safe time and learn quicker. Students have to have a wonderful and fun place to motivated to learn and interact with other students. I thinmk that eventually their is going to be more new things for students education as the years go by.

Effective Classroom Learning Environment

Learning in classroom should provide the highest level of comfort and enjoyment of studying. Like we know each class is pretty much the same, benches, boards, boring appearances. However, there are sometimes classrooms which provide many good features for studying students there.
For example let’s take our classroom in Harold Washington. The classroom is rather small, but the set up of the classroom is rather great. The entire classroom has computers, meaning each desk has its own laptop. That is a good idea that school made such set up for students. This classroom provides full excess to the internet to the Microsoft Excel, and the most important each computer is connected with the main computer which is possessed by the teacher. Learning in that kind of classroom is more effective that in the other classrooms without computers. Students in our classroom are able to do most the activities on the computers, writing essays or just checking the grammar assignments. Thanks to that kind of classroom we are able to learn faster, and more effectively.
Also, the school did a good job with surround system in our classroom. Every time when teacher wants to introduce something related with hearing assignments, we all are able to hear it clearly without any disconnections or troubles in playing specific assignments. We all should be pleased that we were assigned to that classroom.

What makes an Effective Classroom Learning Environment?

The education is really important thing to every body’s life. Everyone wants to learn something from every minute they are spending. So to help for that the education center is really important.

To me my school and library is really important. The every library should have every source about thinks around the world. Especially my school library is really helpful to me. Every time when I inter I always find something that I was looking for. I can use internet, books and video tapes. If I need copy of something I use copy machine.

The library has everything thing that use for education. So it is really FAST and EASY.

So I like to study at my school because when I see around I feel like ready to invent new things. I always see student that want to learn and learn. When I see my helpful teachers I always thank for them for teaching interesting things. When I see books around me I wanted to read every single of them. So the around the thinks are really effect to me to learn. If I see angry teachers and book that I already read that would be not so helpful to me. So the classroom, library and school’s environment is really important to every student.

What make an effective learning classroom environment is, first of all, school uniform.

It makes student to have a pride of their school, and if the students are satisfied with their school uniform, they want to learn in the school and have high motivation. School uniform is not just a uniform, this is a very effective staff that can be a one of school environment. Although the school uniform can be very expensive, for example, my high school uniform costs almost 200$, but without school uniform, you may spend more time and money to have good looking clothes.

The school uniform looks smaller thing than having computer in the class and so on, but it is also an important thing for students.

My high school was a public high school. My high school has a very famous supecial class for high level study in my city even it is public school. I wanted to enter the special class, but I had transfered from korean high school when I was the second grade, so I could not take the special class. If you are in that class, you have a oppotunity to enter good universities in west side of Japan. Japanese high schools have a many different level. The differenses are very wide and big, and it is very important to enter high level high school for a future decidion. Students do great effort to enter high school.

Computers are everywhere in 2007. Everyone, every company are using computer for help their work, because computers can help them work more quickly. Also, school is using computers, too. Computers can help student easier to find an information and work for their homework. And it makes more fun in the class. Studio classroom can make students more interesting. Teachers can use a projector to teach a class, They can discuss their work in the class together. It helps students more concentrate in the class. So I believe computers are useful for students.

Classroom Learning Environment

By the time goes on, the IT (Information Technology) is improving every day. From no computers in a classroom to every student has a laptop in front of their faces. There are no computers in the classroom in China of my school years, not even one. The classroom with computers (studio classroom) might be helpful for students. Students can do some searching and doing some in-class assignments through computers in class. Another good thing of studio classroom is teacher can use a projector instead of a blackboard to do the agendas of classes. It can save times, and students can visualize of their learning. The studio classroom can make teachers and students easier to teach and learn.




Learning environment, it can be have many kinds, depends on people’s thought. What can be make you feel comfortable for studying is the environment of you need. It can be very simple. When I was in China, we just have wooden tables and chairs. Just like this picture. After the rich man in hometown donated some money to build another educational building, we got the wooden tables and chairs. Nothing was change except the building. There were no any technology things in school. In the United States, we have a studio classroom and a computer lab for students doing their in-class and homework assignments. The learning environment will change any day, any minute, any second.

What make an effective learning classroom environment?

What make an effective learning classroom environment? Most of the people believed internet make a positive effective classroom learning environment. In another way, the small class is much more effective than large class for learning. I strongly believe that internet and small class make a positive effective learning classroom environment.

First of all, in recent years computers have become more useful to teachers and students because they have become faster and less expensive. Which is why computers can be found in most classrooms and can be useful to teachers and students. Many people feel that the time spent on computers could be spent on other things like one on one teaching or learning how to read and write. people don’t realize how effective a computer could be to a child’s education, and how computers can get students organized and willing to learn. In order to make computers more effective, teachers need to be trained on how to use computers, pick appropriate software, and get students involved in learning how to use the computer. For years, computers have been used in the classroom to help in the overall education of students. Since computers help so much, there needs to be a way to include the use of computers in a student’s everyday life.

Finally, during my past learning experiences, I have found myself in many different learning environments as in class size. When I was student in Korea, I studied in large classroom where it had fifty students in class. It looks like fifty dolls in the square box. It was very ineffective to learning environment. After several years later, When I first came to United Stated, I was very surprised because my classmate was just twelve. If I had a question in the classroom, I was asking the teacher directly and the teacher answered it with more specific detail. When I was in there, I felt more comfortable than the large classes.

In the end, I still believe that internet and small class make us feel more comfortable in the classroom. I think it gives us great opportunity to have better learning environment.

Effective Classroom

The classroom environment is very important to teachers and students as well. It is very helpful to students if there is a group discussions on a regural basic. I say this because in a group discussion you can exchange ideas and learn from one onother. In a classroom you can have students from different background. For example, in my social studies we had an interesting group discussions about political, social situations in different countries. I enjoyed this class and it was an effective learning evironment.
Another effective learing environment is to have an appropriate and safe larning place. In order to learn well the school has to be clean, comfortable, well-lit. If the place is not clean, students and teachers can not feel comfortable to learn and to teach. In addition, school must be safe for everybody in order to make an effective learning envirnment. For example, I feel very comfotable and safe to learn in Harold Washington College. The college is beatiful, clean and is located very close to the train station. Nowadays we hear a lot of shootings in schools and colleges and studenst and teachers get hurt and that one does not create an effective learing environment.

I positively like to have technology and old style leaning at the same time in classroom. Computers, caculators, and slide shows are good examples that help us to learn effectively. The more doing active learning, the more we can get lots of knowledge from good technology.
First, I wnat to talk about calculator. Calculators have merits that can do calculate quickly and easily, but there are defects. When I was in high school, I had never used calculators. I did all by hand. It was complicated to adfust to a formula and calculate. However, when I had thoughts that I had to use just my hand, I tried to understand at least how this formula came from with using calculator, it's esay to overlook those things. Whatever reasons, the most important thing is that have behavior to learn being active learner.
Highlights and notebooks are very good features when we learn. It looks little, but it helps us to recognize of books what they are talking about easily. I have been thinking that. It's good thing there is a few color of pens in the U.S.A. When I was in high school, there were lots of stationery around my school and they had a lot of pens. It made me complicates to decide. I like here that there are a few stationery products that help us to learn.
Computers, calculators, and stationery products help us to learn effectively. I am positively believe that technoloy and old style learning is very effective when we are being learners.

High Tech Class

In my parents time there was not any technology. There was only a simple class with a noisy fan, wooden table, chairs and a big black board. If I think about an old style classroom, that was boring. In my own experience, last year I was in an English class and my teachers teaching style was very old and she had to write everything on the board and she wet the chalk before she wrote. Maybe she was allergic to chalk. Also, there was no computer, and no projectors. During the class some students even murmur to each other. It is very hard for students to just sit in a class and listen to a teacher, which was sometimes very hard to concentrate for an hour or more, which makes them sleepy. I read somewhere that a normal human mind cannot focus more then an hour, unless there are diverse activities to wake you up.

However, these days technology is magic. That makes classroom learning more effective alternative procedures help students to focus on studying. A classroom should have new computers with internet, projectors, and even show movie clips related to study. In addition, should have comfortable chairs, a wide table with laptop, and enough room for all students to move around easily. It is more effective to learn by doing alternative activities, watching, listening, researching, sharing and creating.

Finally, a class environment is more effective if there is new technology to present different assignments furthermore teacher and students both will enjoy the class.

Class Blog #3

We are now at the 4th stage of education that is called University / college including kindergarten, which means we had gone through a couple of stages before we actually reach our current level. In the past, I had studied in a classroom that looked something similar to the photograph I posted on the left hand side. In such a classroom, students were sharing a wooden bench and a wooden table. Usually the teacher would assign two students per bench. There is no such things call retro projector, computer, or any other technology equipment, but a big long blackboard that hung horizontally in front of the classroom, where the teacher usually stand and lecture. Plus, there was not heat in the winter, nor air conditioning in the summer in the classroom when I was little. I personally believe that such classrooms are fine. Not just because I was little so I didn't know how to judge whether the classroom was good and effective for learning. The one very important thing about learning is motivation. If the students are the people who love to study; it doesn't really matter how horrible the classroom is. As long as there are teachers, books, and writing materials, the students can learn effectively no matter what.

Back to our current level and classroom. The classroom that we are having classes in are most likely studio classrooms that looked something like the picture above. As a grown up person, we all know how to enjoy and relax while we are studying, or try pursuit something that we like the best when we have the alternative of classrooms. At this part of thinking, we often confused about what we are suppose to do in a classroom? What do we expect to receive from the teacher? Are we here to enjoy the classroom environment? Of Course it would be better if there are computers and retro projectors in the classroom, but whether the students learn effective and successful or not, are all depend on the students' motivation of studying.

What makes an effective classroom learning? i think students are more motivate if the classroom are clen and neat, i mean no one would like to study in a bad enviroment. I have attended to schools where there were pieces of paper, candy wrapers, etc all over the floor, and trust me is not something you want to experince.

Second, to make an effective classroom work, the teachers and students have to interact constantly. I used to have teachers that would just enter to the classroom and just ask for homework, and then they just assigned some classwork. I believe that teachers who gets involve with students, helps them to trust the teachers better and also it is easier to encourage the students.

Other thing that i think that makes an effective classroom is to have projectors, a printer, computers, etc. In that way, its easier for students to get more involve. I believe that most of the students would rather type an essay than handwrite it, and having a printer in the classroom makes it even easier.

Of course Computer is the Rule

What makes a classroom better? People used to study in a classroom with umcomfortable chairs and desks, and teachers wrote much information on the blackboard and rased wasting a lot of time. Since technology has been helping education, now we have computers, internet, and overprojectors in the classrooms, so students can learn in an easy and convenient way.
First, computers can note everything what the teachers teach in the classroom and save it conveniently. Students don't have to do paper works and easily lose them. Secondly, students can search imformation or do activities online by using the internet. Finally, overprojectors can project information on the board, so it save a lot of time to write.
As you can see, those are very helpful and make a classroom better for both students and teachers. The world has changed. We can say goodbye to the old school equipments and study more comfortablely.

What makes an Effective Classroom Learning Environment? In fact, the environment for students learning is very essential, and it is effects on students studies. beyond the basics, students will need 21st century competencies to survive and thrive in the future.They will have to know how to think critically, apply knowledge to new situations, analyze information, understand new ideals, communication effectively, collaborate, solve problems, and make decisions. For all those reasons, school districts should to look for ways to help students acquire these new skill while students learning in classroom.
First, school should provides computers in every classroom. Today, technology makes our lifes easier, and it has always kept us update with technics and provided uesful links for students to learn, and down their assignments easier. Also, students can find out lot of new information through computers, and they can understand new ideals with new trans. Moreover, students will acquire lot of computer's skills while they are learning in classroom from their instrctors. However,students who studied in the last decade not as fortune as 21st students because technology not as popular as now.
Second, teachers should educate students with useful resources and cretive tools. Teachers are the most important roles in the classroom for students learning, their effective input, method of teaching, ideals, and the latest resources are essential effective on students learning. Also, teachers should create an interesting environment for students learning and make them have more motavition to come to the classroom every time.
As a consequence, an effective enviornment for students learning reflect on students studies. Generally, students will need to study hard to succeed on their education in order to survive in the 21st century. However, an effective environment for students learning will make they learning easier and easily for them to complete. So, I think school should provide the best environment for students learning.

Class Blog 3

Nowadays, many students should say the classroom has computer and projector when you ask what makes an effective classroom learning environment. But, before twenty years ago, teachers just had a few common computers. Teacher didn’t have any machines to help our study. But, we had positive mind because classroom had forty students supervise and urge together. Although teachers didn’t have advanced machine, they use a kinds of ways to improve students’ interested minds.

Now we have computers in classroom. The environment is better than before. Teacher uses computers and projectors to help students’ study. We should get more knowledge online and research everything online. Therefore, advanced technology makes classroom has learning environment.

When we talk about a good learning environment we have to mention many things. In our days one of the things that come to our minds right away when we mention learning environment is technology, yeah !!! computers, projectors, Internet, in short words high technology. All of this is what we thought because we are getting involve a technology era, where everything is control by the technology and the things that it offers us, and that in not bad, but sometime we forget the most important thing that is people, most of the time we put people away when talk about learning environment, and also we forget that everything that we can get to improve that learning is in order to help people and their learning process. As you can in the picture that I put at the top, that is a room full of technology with all the things that we considered important in a classroom, but also you can notice that is empty there is no one in that room just computer. I am not trying to say that technology is not important, I just want to say that it is not the most important. In the next picture you see a classroom full of people, smiling and pay attention, they look happy even though in that room they do not have much technology, and that is what really matter in a learning environment, the happiness of people at the moment to learn, that happiness that allowed them to learn and study with more passion.

All the things that we can get to help improve the learning environment have to be in order of give that happiness and invite people to learn and study. That all that we need, no matter how much technology a room has, but if the teacher is not good enough to guide students in their learning process, that will be a waste of money and time.

What makes an Effective Classroom Learning Environment?

I believe a class environment would be effective if student’s emotion was switched between tension and delight. Tension helps me to highly concentrate on my study; delight could reduce the tiredness and promote the enthusiasm of study.

When I was under a tensional environment I have to focus my mind on what is happening. I push myself instantly figure out what the problem is and find out the solution of the problem as soon as I can. This action has no doubt is an effective movement.

Delight is necessary for a class environment because people can not continually concentrate for couple hours. When students leave their attention from the class occasionally, a discussing or a little funny question may get their attention again. Delight could as well as promote students’ enthusiasm of study. Because people is easy inspired by what they interested.

Environment in which we are can help or demolish our studying. Many years ago, people didn’t have “helpers”, like computers, projectors, or even calculators. I remember my Dad’s huge abacus, which he used when he was at school. The World is changing and improving so fast , people are trying to make everything, especially studying easy. There are many advantages of online courses, but still most of people are choosing regular, in-class learning. It has a lot of pluses, which we can’t find during studying at home by ourselves.

First of all, we all know that one of the easiest way to study is by giving and receiving examples, and there is no other, better place than classroom , that we can hear so many different opinions. Students, by expressing, and sharing theirs ideas give others different way of thinking, and looking at various problems.

Nowadays, teachers are more open to students, than 30-40 years ago. There is no more punishment by hitting by ruler or standing in the corner, instead teachers listen what theirs student want to say, what they don’t understand, and explain it even many times.

Learning in the classroom, instead of online has one, vital advantage. We have to be responsible and come to class, be prepared, and there is less distraction, like TV, phones, and diverse websites, which grabs our attention. Classrooms become smaller and smaller. It’s better for students in a less-people-class to take out information, and for teacher to have enough time for each learner. When I was studying in Poland, I had few classes - lectures with another 150 people. I don’t think that anybody really knew after that lessons, what it was really about. It was too many people, one person comes, one lives, one open the chocolate bar, one drop the pen on the floor. It was too many things going on in the classroom to really pay attention on important things.

Throught the ages, the humans being have had the opportunuty of experiment different kinds of classrooms with differents environments. In my dad's ages, the classrooms were not so effective like now are. By that time, classsrooms didn't have much tecnology such as computers, projectors, even our ancestors didn't know what a computer was. Nowadays, We can see how the way of teaching and to get the information has completely changed. The technology has allowed the student to explore another ways to learn such as an important tools as the internet.

For me an effective classroom should have three important features: Computers with connection to the internet, retroprojectors, and a classroom cleaned totally up.

Conection to the Internet allows the students to get extra information from different resources.

One clear example of this could be when you have to get information to do a determined assignment. Sometimes, It is due the same before the class ends, so you don not have time to go to the library to make the research. For this case, it is neccesary to have internet in the classroom.

Another example could be when the teacher needs to explain a topic or needs simply to give us the information in a quick way. For this reason, it is neccesary the internet because it allows the teacher to explain the information in a short time.

In addition,The retroprojectors are a very good feature that help the student to learn in a effective way. with this tool the teacher can give us understanding about what she want to focus in a general way. A very good example for this is when the teacher wants to explain a common mistake into the classroom. For this he or she needs to point out where the mistake is. So a retroprojector allows her to explain that step by step to the undestanding from the whole class.

Last, the environment in which the students are should be a cleaned area up totally. The worst thing that a student can experinment is a duty classroom. A duty classroom makes an environment looks heavy, therefore it doesn't encourage students to learn. Because of that, the classroom should be broomed, and overall aconditionated with all the neccesary tools. For example, white board, markers, and so on.

On the other hand, I want to share wit yours my experience when I was a HS student in Colombia. The classrooms weren't the best ones. One reason is that the classroom didn't have technology at all. The computers didn't have access to the internet, and we just could use the computers while we were in a class called "System class." Another things was that the classroms had a lot students. The average 42 students approximately per classrom, so for me was very difficult to catch up everything at once time. The teacher didn't have access to tools such as retroprojectors and anything like that. Everithing was expalined by them in the chalk board.

Finally, in summing this up, I can say that an effective environment is one in which there are all the neccesary tools to make understable a class to the student. This means, the classroom should have computers with connection to the internet, retroprojectores and overall with a very cleaned area. With this in mind, the classroom could become one of the best places to study and have fun.

learning environment

what is a good learningenvironment? I think different people have different requirement.some people think that they only spend a few hours on the classroom, they don't care the classroom's environment,but some people think if the learning environment is not effective, they can't have a good fettle to study.
Like before I take the class, sometimes I felt born because I only can sit over there and listen. The teacher only talk by herself, sometimes students are not focus on the class. somoetimes they bugout, maybe they look outside, or they do something by theirselves. This kind of classroom is not a effective learning environment now. If they want the school have a good study environment,they need to update the system.
I think a effective learning environment should have computer on the classroom. Nowadaya, teacher is not only talk during the class, they need to have more activity to make students interesting the class. If have computer on classroom for every student, teacher can use the computer to prelection. If have computer they don't need to write a lot of information on the board, and everything can show on the computer. I think the students will feel more interested when they are in class.
A effective learning environment can influence students' study, so have a good study environment is very important.

As you can see, this book called “100 simple secrets of successful people”, I read this book when I was studying ESL level 5 at Wright College. This book, I think, It is a very important because this show us how to become better humans beings; moreover, it is book that can be used to answer almost all your personal questions approaching you to the best logical answer possible. This book also gives us tools to be successful persons in everything that we do, or are trying to do, With themes like “Creativity comes from within,” “Competence Starts with a feeling competent,” “It is never Just One Thing,” and “Winners are Made, Not Born,” are a clear example of what this book is related about and overall which topics are going to be explained forward.
My reaction to this book was very gratifying, because I learned a variety of keys that are being useful in my personal life. This book also taught me how to affront the variety of difficult situation that a human being, later than soon, can affront in a determined situation in the life. Life is made of good and bad moments that can be memorable for us, but the big deal or the key to become to be a successful person in life is to learn to overcome them in a logical way, with measure and overall with wisdom, that it is the most important thing.
I really recommend this book, because each theme has no longer explanation and comes with a short explanation in the bottom of each page, so it is not really boring to read it; each topic it is going to take like 5 or ten minutes to read, but the most important thing is to apply to our life what we have learned, and the best way to do it, it is putting in practice in our job, or whenever you think that it is necessary to do it.

Investments

This text book is about business investments. I bought this book in beck's and paid 17o$ in this book.

Total amont of pages is P.837. I regurally could read 20 minutes for one page. There are so many terms that I have to find in my electronic dictionary. That is why it took so much time to read this books. However, if I use a dictionaly, I can read and understand what is written.

It has a lot of contant. It shows why people invest, what is the investment, how to invest, and so on. Those contain so practical examples and problems. This book is very useful for me, and through this book, I can learn much more about investment technically and specialy. Only thing that I don't like is that this book is too technical for me, so I have to study hardly before I attend the class.

Throght reading "Muscla Reading", I could understand more rapidly this text book. Before I read the whole containts, I read the summary parts of the chapter which is written in the end of the chapter. Actually it worked well. Before I start to read I can know that this chapter is about.

My Calculus book

I have the Math 207 in this semester. So I bought this book for the class. The book named Thomas' Calculus. It's a very heavy book. It has 1228 pages ( not include the answer key and some formulas pages).There is a hard cover that covering this book. There are some formulas in side the very first page. And then, a following thing is Contents. There are sixteen chapters in this book but we only have to learn the first five chapters for Math 207. Each chapter separate into five to eight sections. Each chapter begins with a picture on the left hand corner. And then, a overview of a last chapter, then a section begins. The sections begin with some examples to show you how to solve the problems. There are some rules and formulas in most of the sections. There are a lot of exercises in each sections. Most of the images in this book are the graph of functions like hyperbolas parabolas. The assignments were already assigned on first day of the class. The instructor also put the assignments on Blackboard.

Reading this book is not so difficult but you have to remember the rules and formulas. I don't like this book because it is very heavy to bring it to school. I don't mean that I hate this book. I don't hate this book because I can learn many formulas and rules that I have never known before and I want to improve my math skill. We have done the first two chapters. The first chapter is not a difficult chapter but the second one becoming more challenge for me. However, I already have a strategy to overcome this chapter.

I have a Social Science class this semester, that book is a Social Science's book. The name is Through THE Eyes OF Social Science. That book is very thick, I hate that book because it have totally 645 pages and 14 parts, no picture in the book! All the think is the words! So, every time while I read the book, I just want to sleep. But it is useful sometimes, last time when I have an assignment , it help me a lot.



Finally, I think this book is useful but I hate to read it. I think no one will interesting it.

Art appreciation

This is my art book for my art appreciation class. The name of this book is Livign with art and is so so heavy. It has approximately 600 pages, this book is practically about art history and appreciation (duh) theres alot of pictures of paintings and sculptures, also theres mini biography of some artists. This book has 22 chapter, first we have an introduction of what is art, then we have visual elements, different types of media, art in time, art from different cultures, etc.

I enjoy reading books about art, i like to discover new artist and study famous artwork, looking up for the smallest details or trying to find what the artist wants to communicate thru their artwork. Personally this book is interesting but its way to big and heavy, i get bored easily whenever I am reading it while doing homework, its not hard but theres some words that i dont understand.

This book is for my accounting course book. It is the thickest book that I have. Of course I couldn't look on every single word or every line. So, I used the strategies form my reading textbook reconnaissance. First of all, I look at all the chapters and then scan headlines, look at the charts, pictures, diagrams. Second of all, I know what I want to know and what materials I need before I read. Third, make some qustions from an assignment before begin reading. Also, underline the unknow words and highlight the main ideal or important section can save lots of time for reviewnig or to study for the tests. Normally,I try to spent half hour to read every day, most of time I would like to read news paper because I can find out the local news and what is going on in the city. After I went back to school I had changed my suject to read because I have to read my textbooks in order to get a better grad on my course. It is worthy on what I read because those textbooks are very useful to me and I can learn lot of knowleges form them.

Chemistry textbook

The textbook I chose is chemistry book entitled Foundations of college Chemistry by Hein and Arena. The book is heavy and thick. It has a beautiful cover of penguins on ice. The book has a Long list of table of contents. Besides it has a lot of pictures and drawing of atoms elements and compounds. There are also pictures of chemists in the lab doing experimentations and researches. In addition the book has a clear pictures of periodic table of the elements. The book also contains self-testing questions at the end of each chapter. In my chemistry class we are normally assigned a chapter to read in advance and prepare for the class. I love my chemistry book. It is a book that contains important details of chemistry foundations. I found it very interesting and helpful in my studies. The book is not boring to read because it has colorful pictures of the elements.

Social Science-Through The Eyes Of Social Science

On this semester I took the Social Science 101.This course require two textbooks, but I prefer this one- Through THE Eyes OF Social Science. Compare to another textbook, the composing of this book is much more clear and easier to catch the main idea. This thick book totally have 645 pages and mainly divided into 14 parts, each part also dividing into two to three chapters in average. In the back of this book is the area which called “ glossary”, this is the place that editor put many terminology to help the reader try to understand the context as soon as they can instead of checking other dictionary or data waste of the precious time .What’s more, in the end of every chapter there are some thoughtful questions make reader preview what they learn form this chapter also remind them the main point of this chapter. Besides, I think this book introducing many out-class resource such like recent special event which associated with social science or some interesting statistic figure, it sometimes really make me relax and give me a time to break and refocusing to the paragraph again.

Because teacher gave us an assignment that we will have a group presentation after midterm, so every group of our class have their own topic, of course based on the material of this book. The topic of my group is called” American Diversity and 2000 Census”. Because of the assignment I started to open this heavy social science textbook. But after I read some pages of this chapter, I found out despite of the difficult terms which I didn’t understand rest of the part is not quite hard to me. But the fact is that I still need many time to handle this ”social science” course. To me I think that even in my native language, social science is not a easy task too.

Statistics book.

My green book is about elementary statistics which is written by Mario F. Triola. I liked to learn this and I also enjoyed reading this book. It is a 10th edition of the book with CD. It is really huge and heavy. This has 868 pages. Most of the books are about statistics. About this book’s whole idea is that it will give us descriptive statistics and inferential statistics information. As a result of I looked all book inside, it included 15 chapters. Every first part of each chapter had pictures that have meaning for each chapter. And every section under the chapters had problems to be able to solve. Those were like practice for every section. At the end of this book, it had samples that are already calculated. I can use that without any formula. There were diagrams, statistical pictures in the middle of every section that are required. Some colored letters helped to read and understand easily. Also there were some practical examples in our lives edges of papers.
I already have been studying this book. At the first time when I studied, I had hard time to read and study. Yet, if I did this activity before, it wasn’t like that hard to study. It was great activity for me. I have homework for solve the problems at the end of the sections. Even thought most of the homework is not reading, I need to read all of the chapters to do homework. I liked to learn so far, but only one bad thing about this book is just heavy.

Medical Terminology

This textbook “Medical Terminology” is from my last semester class. It is the fifth edition by Barbara A. Gylys and Mary Ellen Wedding. This book has fifteen chapters, five hundred and fifty pages, and it is eleven inches long, eight inches wide. The purpose of this book is to help us learn medical terminology so we can effectively communicate with other members of the health care team. In this book I also discovered that it is like learning a whole new language. In the first three chapters I studied about the basic elements of medical words, suffixes, and prefixes, and in the forth chapter about body structure. In last five to fifteen chapters are brief descriptions about Anatomy and physiology, pathology, diognosis, therapeutic procedures, pharmacology, suffix, prefix and abbreviations. The end of the each chapter has learning activities and medical record activities and all activities allow self-assessment and evaluation of competency. The appendix has all the answers of the activities, an alphabetical list of medical word elements, updated abbreviations and their meanings. This book has an audio CD- ROM which is designed for us, an ability to spell, pronounce and understanding the meaning of the medical terms from the chapters. This textbook also has website for the medical dictionary.

The language of the book is good and each chapter is coherent and easy to understand. The color pictures and highlighted headlines enhance my interest in this book. Before our class we read the chapter that we were going to study. In this book I learned about medical language and anatomy and physiology of the human. By this book I am determined to understand the world of medical science. I always need this book in my medical carrier.
